Brazil: the balance-return timetable comes first

For readers with money in a Brazilian betting account, this week's most useful news is a set of dates. The finance ministry's 2 October guidance says voluntary withdrawal requests can be made until 23:59 on 5 October. It says betting websites and apps must become unavailable from 6 October. The notice does not specify a time zone; we have not converted its deadline into UK time. [br-guidance]

The next steps are also spelled out: operators send remaining balance information to financial institutions on 6-7 October; institutions return funds on 9-14 October. From 14 October, Caixa Econômica Federal is to assist where operational difficulties prevent bank returns. These are the published arrangements, not confirmation that a particular customer's money has arrived. [br-guidance]

A shutdown deadline is not a deadline for losing your balance

The underlying provisional measure dates from 25 September, before this reporting week. Its scope includes fixed-odds sports betting and online games, including offers from abroad to people in Brazil. Other legally authorised lottery categories are excluded. The transition separates stopping new funding, disabling betting access and ending authorisations; a later authorisation deadline is not permission to keep taking deposits. [br-law]

Analysis: Articles 8-9 provide for returning sums owed, including available balances, stakes from bets voided under the transition and prizes due. Article 14 preserves payment transactions needed for closure and refunds. So the disappearance of a betting screen should not be read as the disappearance of the refund obligation. Keep a balance record, withdrawal reference and correspondence. The longer-term legal outcome and individual repayment performance remain separate questions. [br-law]

Entain: a smaller growth forecast, not a reported revenue collapse

Entain's 28 September announcement puts a business figure against that disruption. It now expects 2026 online net gaming revenue growth of 4-6% at constant currency, assuming the Brazilian ban lasts for the rest of the year. It retained its £910m-£960m underlying EBITDA guidance, while expecting the lower end. These are forecasts. [entain]

Analysis: The earlier online growth range was 5-7%. Both endpoints have moved down by one percentage point. In a simple index with last year's revenue at 100, those ranges become 105-107 and 104-106. That does not mean revenue is forecast to fall by 1% year on year: both ranges still imply growth. Nor can the revision measure the impact on every operator. [entain]

Britain: the deposit-limit change is now in force

The Gambling Commission's revised implementation date arrived on 30 September. Operators must offer gross deposit limits, use the unqualified label 'deposit limit' for that measure and give it at least equal prominence to other financial controls. Gross limits use fixed periods; other financial limits can use fixed or rolling periods. This deadline followed an extension announced in May. [gb-date]

Analysis: The distinction is practical. Gross deposits count money paid in; a net deposit measure subtracts withdrawals. Neither alone describes everything lost or staked. If daily and weekly limits both apply, the most restrictive one wins. Check the account's reset time and remaining allowance rather than assuming that a withdrawal opens up a gross limit again. [gb-rules]

Analysis: Our September full-month investigation already explores this with four worked cash histories and three operators' public explanations. This is the weekly reminder that the deadline has passed, rather than a claim that we have now tested every operator's implementation. [september-index]

A second British announcement concerns machines, with a later timetable

On 30 September, the Commission also announced new gaming-machine standards. Measures include better session information and management tools on new category B machines, restrictions on celebrating awards below the stake, and restrictions on features that shorten the wait for a result. Existing machines are exempt from the new requirements. Most changes are scheduled for June 2027. [machines]

Analysis: Keep this separate from the online deposit-limit deadline. One concerns account controls now in effect; the other announces staged machine changes. Neither announcement establishes that the rules of a particular live roulette, live blackjack or live baccarat table changed this week. [machines]

Evolution adds a US-focused slot brand

Evolution announced Spinning Whale on 29 September, with 888 Dragon's Fortune Hold'n'Win as its debut title. The brand targets North American slot preferences. The company plans a wider North American network debut in November and further titles in 2027. Distribution is exclusively through its One Stop Shop integration. [whale]

Analysis: That makes this a content and distribution story worth following, but 'studio' here means a slot-development brand. It is not an announcement of another live-dealer floor. A single integration can simplify an operator's route to content; it does not prove that every connected casino has enabled the game or received approval to offer it locally. [whale]

Kevin Hart promotion: the new detail is the prize pool

Pragmatic Play's news index dates its latest Kevin Hart announcement to 29 September and describes a €1.25m pool across three promotions. The celebrity collaboration itself featured in earlier Pulse coverage. This week's development is the promotional build-up, not a newly discovered partnership. [hart]

Analysis: The detailed campaign pages could not be retrieved for this issue. We therefore have not assigned qualifying countries, participating casinos, wagering rules or a cash value per player. The supplier's headline establishes the campaign announcement; it does not establish your eligibility. Our provider guide is a companion for the broader live casino range. [hart] [provider-guide]

The prize-pool question worth asking

Analysis: A big pool leaves an important number missing: how many eligible entries compete for it? Consider a deliberately invented €1,000 cash draw with one equally likely entry per person, all prizes paid and no participation cost. With 100 people, the average prize value per entry is €10. With 1,000, it is €1. The pool has not changed, but the average has fallen tenfold. [expected-value]

Analysis: You can reproduce that by dividing the pool by the eligible entry count. It does not say what the typical person receives: if there is one €1,000 winner, most receive nothing. Real promotions may involve weighted entries, non-cash rewards and qualifying play. Without those details, this example cannot value the Kevin Hart campaign or justify extra betting. [expected-value]

Gates of Olympus 2500 is a slot, not a roulette update

Pragmatic Play's 28 September release introduces four bonus modes to Gates of Olympus 2500. The distinction between two modes is useful: one adds multipliers to a running total when they land on winning spins; another adds every arriving multiplier, applying the total to subsequent wins. Super versions raise the minimum multiplier. [gates]

Analysis: This belongs in the wider games roundup, but it should not be confused with Gates of Olympus Roulette. A shared character does not make two games share rules. The release does not establish a checked return rate or local casino availability. For another example of why the exact variant matters, our baccarat comparison separates ordinary and fee-bearing formats. [gates] [baccarat-guide]

Netherlands: a licence-looking page can still be fraudulent

The Ksa's 2 October warning concerns a lottery permission obtained through impersonation of Quick Boys football club. The regulator says the club did not apply and was itself a victim. It withdrew the permission, warned readers against entering personal details on the named websites, and strengthened identity and domain checks. [dutch-warning]

Analysis: The warning concerns a lottery, not a live casino enforcement case. The useful lesson travels further: follow the regulator's own links and match the named organisation and domain. A familiar logo or an apparently official document is insufficient. Anyone affected should use the notice's bank, police and reporting instructions rather than follow an unsolicited recovery message. [dutch-warning]

What we checked, and what remains open

Analysis: This edition covers Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October 2026, with source checks on 5 October. We read the two preceding Pulse issues and the September full-month Index, then checked the primary material behind the selected stories. The Brazilian ministry and Dutch regulator were read in Portuguese and Dutch and summarised in English. Entain's original RNS text was read beneath the host's separate automated summary. [previous-20] [previous-27] [september-index]

Analysis: Announcements, effective dates and future plans have been kept distinct. The numerical illustrations are constructed examples, not monitored customers, prize forecasts or investment advice. We did not play games, test withdrawals, enter promotional offers or measure operator compliance. This is selected coverage across Brazil, Great Britain, the Netherlands and North American supplier activity, not a worldwide census. [gb-date] [machines] [whale] [expected-value]

Analysis: Campaign eligibility remains unverified, and Brazil's transition may be affected by subsequent official developments. Use the dated primary notices for an individual deadline or balance query. No new casino ranking, market-share estimate or payout-speed claim is inferred from our existing directory.
